A gold metal and epoxy device 1 3/16 inches(3.02 cm) in height, consisting of two gold cannons diagonally crossed, muzzles upwards, overall a maroon cross surmounted in the center by a gold Rod of Asclepius, throughout, the cross center facets interlacing a black horseshoe, opening upwards, the horse bearing four gold stars, two stars at base larger.  Below the device a tri-folded black scroll inscribed, READY, THE, FORCE in gold.

Symbolism

Maroon is associated with the medical/dentistry field and here are combined with gold and black, the Army colors. The snake often is a symbol of regeneration, rebirth and transformation since it sheds its skin. The snake is also a traditional symbol of healing coming from Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing, who carried a staff with a snake coiled around it. The cannons combined with a horseshoe refers to Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery and together with the cross represent the aid and assistance provided to soldiers, the Fires Center of Excellence and Fort Sill. The motto inscribed READY THE FORCE.
